Partner & Founder

Niels Lammerts van Bueren is partner and founder of TreeCap and has been trading financial markets for more than 20 years. He acts as co-CIO of the Fund, and is responsible for risk management and trading infrastructure of TreeCap. He holds a Master’s degree in Econometrics of the University of Groningen (MSc) and started his career in 1998 as an options market maker on the Amsterdam exchange.

He has worked in different roles within the financial industry, both in a proprietary and fund management environment, with a main focus on equity and derivatives strategies. In 2013 he teamed up with Vincent, co-founding TreeCap in 2016.

Partner & Founder

Vincent van der Heijden is partner and founder of TreeCap and has worked in the financial industry for over 20 years. He acts as co-CIO of the Fund, and is responsible for portfolio management of TreeCap. He holds a Master’s degree in Business of the University of Groningen (MSc) and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).

He started his career as a sell-side analyst in 1997, moving into proprietary trading in 2000. In 2011, he left his role as co-head of Equity Derivatives of ABN Amro in London, moving back to the Netherlands. Since then, he has worked in the fund industry, teaming up with Niels in 2013 and co- founding TreeCap in 2016.

Partner

Eduardo Guman is partner of TreeCap. He is Head of Operations and is responsible for the front office operation, post market trading, organization, control and compliance. He holds a degree in Business Economics of the Amsterdam University of Applied Science and started his career in 2014 in a front office support role, joining Niels and Vincent. Since then, he has moved into setting up the Fund structure, with a focus on compliance, oversight and control.

He has also been responsible for achieving the regulatory status of the Fund, communicating with all relevant authorities and other stakeholders.

Senior Portfolio Manager

Hugues Brunet joined TreeCap in August 2023 as a Senior Portfolio Manager. He has an extensive background trading different financial products, primarily focused on index arbitrage, statistical arbitrage and equity derivatives. He is responsible for strategy development and portfolio optimization of the Fund. He holds a Master degree of the University Paris-Dauphine.

He started his career in 2000 at Commerzbank, before moving to ABN Amro. After leaving ABN Amro in 2013, he has worked in different roles both advising and investing in trading focused companies.

Portfolio Manager

Mathijs brings a wealth of expertise as a trading and investment veteran spanning over 25 years within the financial markets (including notable experience at IMC trading). Since 2017 deeply engaged in trading, investing, and conducting research within the realm of Digital Assets.

IT & Data Architect

Jovan joined TreeCap in 2023 as IT & Data Architect. He is responsible for leading automation initiatives and managing TreeCap’s overall IT infrastructure. His role includes designing and implementing data architecture, optimizing system performance, and ensuring secure, efficient data processing to support TreeCap’s strategic objectives.
